What’s It All About

The 1 Sentence Summary of Mercy Christmas

A lonely loser with idealistic dreams of the family Christmas he’s never had meets his dream girl who invites him to spend Christmas with her family.

Cast and Director

Starring Steven Hubbell (who’s had an extensive and successful career in movies as a Grip), Casey O’keefe, and Cole Gleason and directed by Ryan Nelson the acting in this crowd-funded film feels a bit like they got their friends together to make a movie.

Spoiler Alert

We’d much rather you watch the movie than read some of our favorite and least favorite parts about it. But if you have to know, check out our breakdown below.

Mike Briskett’s (Steven Hubbell) invitation to Christmas dinner was more than he bargained for. He’s set to be the main course. At the end of the movie, Mike and another captive (whose legs have been dismembered) team up to defeat the cannibal family. Mike straps this guy to his back using strands of Christmas lights. This leads to the big scene at the end where they fight back to back to kill and escape the family. It’s hilarious, ridiculous, and a bit bloody!

The favorite character is definitely Mike Briskett. The poor guy was so jolly and excited about Christmas with a real family. He really didn’t see it coming but got to be a hero in the end.

Mercy Christmas isn’t a jump scare movie. The whole idea of being held captive by a family of cannibals is scary. What’s even scarier? When your boss shows up and you realize he’s part of the family!

There’s really nothing to dislike about this movie, as long as you know what to expect and go into it with the right attitude.
